Adventures in Cape Town
I absolutely loved this family session in one of my favorite cities - Cape Town. Raw, spontaneous, sincere...sunkissed noses and unstaged photographs. This is what I love photography for - it lets me capture those magical life moments, share experiences with people and save precious memories for years.
Cape Town love story
Julia and Max were spending an unforgettable summer in Cape Town. Sharing this spectacular city with the one you love - what can be better? Both professional models, they were looking forward to saving a few on the photos. To cherish and recall in the memory. Who knows where in the world they end up together, but Cape Town will definitely be in their hearts...
I have been photographing Ira and Illia since my very first year in Cape Town. Their love story has been a source of inspiration for me, and I always admired that special tenderness, passion and common dreams that they share.
Iwassohonoured to photograph them while they were expecting their baby girl. We thought that sunrise in the dunes will be the best scenery to portray those tender moments.
Ira is a talented calligraphy master, so we couldn't resist decorating the table and having breakfast with an ocean view.
I've been craving for a shoot like this since the first time I saw Cape Town in a mist. We are used to a sunny city, golden sunsets and stunning light, but I really wanted to try to take photos in grey and foggy weather, when the clouds are so low to the ground that it feels that you can walk in that mysterious mist.
We've been planning this styled photo-story for a long period of time, checking the weather predictions and adjusting our schedules. On the shooting day, the weather was changing every few hours, as it can happen in Cape Town. We went from sunshine to fog, drizzle and cold. We started to shoot in a beautiful golden light, which was not what I actually wanted, but we decided to take it as it goes...and the result is beautiful, isn't it? Especially because the weather changed drastically and by the time we were rounding up the shoot Cape Town impressed the whole team with a very beautiful and dramatic light.
Sharing the results of a great teamwork!

Intimate elopement in Cape Town
They flew all the way to South Africa with a dream to exchange marriage vows next to the ocean. I was there to witness a very intimate, honest and emotional wedding ceremony "for two". After that special moment when they promised to love, respect and cherish each other, we drove to my favourite beach for a stunning sunset, stopping along the way.
I hope you will like these honest and very sweet moments captured by my camera.
The World belongs to us, Babe!
As many great encounters these days, ours happened thanks to social media. I've been following Zhenya's adventures for quite a long time, and when we happened to be in Cape Town in the same period I decided to drop her a line and arrange a shoot. I instantly fell in love with her and Julius, they looked so wonderful together, there was such a special connection between them! I hope I managed to capture it.
Early morning in Cape Town
They are young, free and so much in love! Two beautiful redheads on a sunrise shoot in Cape Town. I was so glad to document their connection!
Family shoot in Cape Town
One of the most memorable shoots in Cape Town for me - this bright, cheerful and very warm family morning at the Llandudno beach. Moments like this make my heart sing.
Blessing ceremony in Cape Town
Blessings and vows...
It was a truly special and emotional experience that I will never forget. LJ and Jenny contacted me just a few months before my usual trip to Cape Town, asking whether I could help them organise a blessing ceremony for family and close friends. They both live in Great Britain but come from South Africa. A year before they got married in London, but a lot of relatives couldn't fly to the wedding. Hence, they've got a beautiful idea: to plan an intimate blessing and vow renewal ceremony in Cape Town.
We set everything on a spectacular empty beach, surrounded by sand dunes and facing the ocean. Only the closest family members and friends attended the ceremony.
